Clover Poetry Series: Looking at the Bright Side

Clover Poetry Series: Looking at the Bright Side

I wrote this poem when I just wasn't really feeling great about the world and just life in general. I just sort of wrote my feelings down, and over the course of a few days, I edited and it just came out as this poem.

Hope.
Sparked by fear,
Hate, or ignorance.
In some, bringing a tear
Bringing deliverance.

It can be fleeting,
Leaving in an instant,
Going back, retreating,
But never too distant.

Holding on to nothing,
But continued expectations,
Full of overcoming,
Which can end in celebration.

Whispers of encouragement,
In the dead of night.
Despite all impediments,
Guiding as a sprite.

A beacon of prosperity,
Leading away from disaster,
To an eternity of clarity,
To a perpetuity of laughter.

Always gives a smile,
In the direst of situations.
Every fear going to exile,
Taking any tribulations.

Brighter than the sun,
It is anchoring the soul.
Spreading from just one,
Uniting people as a whole.

Although it is incorporeal,
It’s a waking dream.
It can never be a forgery,
If leaving eyes agleam.

Present when impecunious,
When the destitute reign,
And the rich are the malicious,
But it cannot be slain.

Larger than our imaginations,
Never something we can own.
The source of every aspiration,
Unexpected or unknown.

It dares to blossom,
Even in an endless abyss.
It may be forgotten,
If only in an eternal bliss.

It is music to dance along with,
Leading to a beautiful purpose,
It is anything but a myth.
Hope is for you to interpret.
